Since 1957 the Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Sports Equestres a.s.b.l. (FLSE) represents as organisation the horse sport and almost all the riding sport associations in nearly all disciplines Luxembourg. As associated with the Fédération Equestre International (FEI), the FLSE offers all possibilities to their national athletes to participate on competitions and championchips, and this worldwide.
The current management is the responsibility of Mr. François Thiry, who took over from the long-time president Georges Wagner in 1997. In 1998, the cooperation agreement with the FN Germany was signed, which is still valid today. This means that equestrian sport in Luxembourg is subject to the rules of the LPO and the APO, as well as the FEI.
The FLSE plays a pivotal role in promoting and developing equestrian sports at all levels within Luxembourg. We support local clubs, organizing events, and ensuring that high standards of welfare and safety are maintained for both riders and horses. Through its various initiatives, the FLSE fosters young talent and encourages participation across all age groups and disciplines. In addition to regulation and development, The federation also champions sustainable and ethical practices for the long-term welfare of the sport and the horse.
